Nintendo wants iOS apps, comics, magazines, e-books for Wii U

When Nintendo announced the Wii U there was a lot of head scratching and confusion as to what they were actually offering. The console consists of two parts: the main box holding the Wii U’s hardware, and then a tablet controller sporting a 6.2-inch touchscreen.

Nintendo patches Zelda bug with new Wii Channel

Nintendo has issued in Japan a free, downloadable Wii Channel to fix a show-stopping bug in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The Zelda Data Restoration Channel, as it’s called, repairs save games affected by the Song of the Hero quest bug to enable players to keep on going.

Xbox 360 outsells Wii by 400,000 units in November, analyst says

Microsoft sold 1.44 million game consoles last month, compared with Nintendo’s 1.05 million Wiis, according to an analyst. PS3 hit 750,000 units.
